THE NON FIGURATIVE PAINTING (SINCE 2001)

During the last months Adler has begun a peculiar search grounded on materials and colours he makes use of, trying to communicate some feelings through each element being in the picture.

The shapes of his paintings have lost their direct link with reality, even if sometimes the pictorial bulks and the physic relieves seem to mould something already known.
Like other artists, he aims at reaching the idea of a kind of art non-depending on the materials which are used.

This is the reason why he makes use of old paper, sand, stucco, nylon stockings, coffee, shreds of cloths and not conventional colours in order to discover the new effects coming out, with a view to giving the chaotic matter a poetic rhythm..

Adler is deeply convinced that the artist has to create a new space with no limits both to his creativity and his sensibility.
The compositions arising are works having no univocal meaning. They would like to reach everybody in a different way.
This absolute sense of freedom, as far as interpretation is concerned, gives the audience the possibility of having an active role: the audience has to look for the meaning of the painting according to his own experiences and to his mood.
